A GOOD Burger

If you’re gonna eat a burger, it might as well be a darn good one. There’s no sense in wasting an opportunity to indulge on mediocre meat or a dry bun. I have the same philosophy on cupcakes. One should be superb.

The August issue of Texas Monthly features “The 50 Greatest Hamburgers in Texas.” Numero uno hails from Dallas. It’s at The Grape on Greenville and they only make it for Sunday brunch. I’ll be trying it the next time I need my fix.


Like EGG salad … but I don’t.

No, I don’t like egg salad. I don’t even like eggs. Any way.

I hate them actually. I try to like them. But I fail. I gag. It’s gross.

I love the idea of an omlet with lots of stuff in it, like spinach, tomatoes, onions, broccoli, black beans, cheese… sounds delicious, right? I’ve actually been persuaded and ordered such an omlet. I had a few bites. And then I gagged.

I’m a little jealous of all you egg eaters who enjoy this type of breakfast. I cheat. I get the same thing but in a crepe. The Californication at Buzz Brews does the trick.

So, there’s egg salad and then there’s megg salad (much better for you). Emphasis on the salad. Like these salads.

Megg salad is better. 🙂
